Dustcover?

Dustcover?
There is a part that looks like it covers the ring gear of the clutch assembly, that is missing from my car. Can anyone help me with the name of this piece and where I might be able to find one? It looks as though you can get access to the clutch but also might be some sort of dustcover. Thanks

Manuals and automatics used a different cover.
For automatics, it is debatable as to exactly when the switch was made from stamped steel to plastic. I've talked to original owners of 1970 cars, some of whom say they have steel, others plastic.
For manuals, be careful what you buy. I don't know the details, since I don't have a manual trans, but I recall stories about the reproduction cover actually being correct for a different make (maybe Pontiac?) and not fitting an Olds correctly. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

The factory dust cover for a '68 has a full circle of metal that fits around the starter 
...later ones had the top of the circle cut off so you don't have to remove the starter to get the shield off
