"Original Quadrajet 4 Barrel Carb (#7029253 WF)" - but, that is a 1969 Olds 442 Manual Trans application number...

Dear *the*rocketscientist, Rochester Quadrajet along w/Carter and Holley carbs were used over a sundry line of GM cars over a period of several years. In fact, many carried over from parts bin from one to another as a cost saving measure and not solely unique or specific to a specific make or model.
CW responds:
Really? Interesting... I got the application info from the Oldsmobile factory service manuals and PN manuals, and the Delco #9 master PN catalog. Every listing I have ever seen shows that the 28 means 1968, 29 for 1969, 40 for 1970, etc. Then the last 3 digits are 25x for Olds applications, 26x or 27x for Pontiac applications... If you have factory documentation that a 7029xxx was used on a 1968 GM car, or 70xx25x carb was used anywhere other than an Oldsmobile I would be very interested to see that.

Original Quadrajet 4 Barrel Carb (#7029253 WF)
Until he offers anything that means something, his BS is nothing more than BS.
Pretty simple request: Prove that it is OEM.
1. An Olds carb in a Pontiac?
2. A stick cam in an Auto?
3. And last, but foremost, '69carb in a '68?????
he apparently does not know how deep the pile is that he stepped into.
The WF may be a Pontiac application code, so there may be something there. (The Olds should be UC, I believe). But all of the above is enough to predict a crash and burn if indeed 7029253 WF is on that carb, (and WF is the correct Pontiac application code)

It has been my experience that the factory was exceedingly picky about making sure the exact right parts got used. They even have special 1-application only mech. adv. springs for the '69 H/O distributor. The chance that they would have used an carb with a different model year digit is right about zero. The chance of using a carb from another division, even less.
Please, by all means, prove me wrong.
Now this dude "motorco18013" selling KM pulleys is a real jackass/riot
his reply to an inquiry/FYI:
"oh"
:-)
I told him that was the lamest reply ever, to which he replied, of course:
"oh"
heh.
Some folks just do not care to have well informed bidders. Fvck them buyers anyhow.

7029253 a 1969 Olds 442 Manual Trans application
just FYI but I have seen this number come up a fair amount
I bought a quadrajet carb from a dealer in 1980 for my 69 Cutlass and got the same number carb
I told them it had 350 in it..
I think this was the dealer std. replacement back in the day
