Machine Shops in Illinois?

Does anyone know a good machine shop in Illinois? Im going to be building a 455 and obviously there's plenty of machine work to be done. Because of cost restrictions, Id rather not ship parts around the US, but I also want the work done right for a good price.

Any leads?

Thanks,

PTTM

What part of Illinois? Rocket Racing is just across the border into Wisconsin.

Sorry, should have been more specific. Actually, I drive around Illinois for work a lot, so anywhere around Chicago, Peoria, or Milwaukee WI is good.

I took my engine to Ellison machine shop in Chicago. It would be quite a ride for you but I know they do a decent job. I think Kings Automotive is still in Lansing, IL old racing shop. A good source would be calling either Whites Pit Stop. They probably could give you some locations as they were a big time supplier for folks in the city.

FX Engines in Mokena, IL is where Milan has work done. He knows a lot about the ins and out of an Olds after machining all of Milan's stuff over the years.

Otherwise, Rocket Racing is over the border and is Oldsmobile friendly as well.
