What headers will fit my car?

I have tried and failed once already on getting headers to fit my car... My budget is 250 ( I know that's low) but I have a 72 cutlass s with a 455 and th350. Has anyone with the same or similar setup found a pair that will fit WITHOUT pulling engine or making mods to the headers themselves?

I tried he'd dad 58150 and they were hitting the frame... Maybe a smaller header?

Thanks

Ben

If you want a good quality header that will fit be prepared to spend some cash. American racing header is one way to go the cost is about $1000. Doug's header is another way. It seems like a good quality header made out of thicker steel than most. They cost about $750. There is always hooker and headman, they are cheaper but you get what you paid for. All of these should fit without modifying the header. You will have to remove couple of things out of the way when installing and lift the engine up couple of inches to get them in.

Than there is Flowtech, around $150-200, the cheapest out there. Made out of thin steel , they are low quality and Good luck trying to get them to fit.

Like I said you get what you paid for.

With a $250 budget I would save up more cash> I had to dump my girlfriend back in the day so I could save on rubber and get my headers. Jus sayin'

Most of the headers require some finessing to install. It's the nature of the beast.

Im with oldcutlass they all take some work but I have bought Hooker headers for 40 years and they are good quality "not the best" but they fit and give good performance and last reasonable well. They have some sets around 350 so you might think about saving for just a little bit and get some Hookers. Headman are ok but dont fit as well and dont perform as well either. Good luck

Hooker Headers will fit. You will have to remove the oil filter and oil filter assembly on the passenger side. You will have to remove the starter on the driver side. Install them from the bottom of the car and it helps to have two people. Take your time and they will fit. Good luck!

The Flowtechs only took a small ding in the passenger side to fit. I put headers on my small block this weekend and forgot how much easier it was.
