will a 1995 olds 88 parts work for a 1996 model?

ive been trying to track down a couple of body panels for my '96 88 for a while now, the one junkyard has a 1995 model year. i know its the same generation but i just wanted to make sure the that the fender and header panel will fit on my '96.

also, is there any tutorial on how to remove/replace those panels

There's no tutorial unless you buy the factory manual on CD or an old paper copy.

I'm pretty sure the header panel and fenders are the same part but I don't have an Oldsmobile manual that lists body panel numbers. FWIW, I've pulled parts off of a 95 98 before with good results fitting them on my 96. I'd even take parts off of a 94 if one came through the salvage yard. Good luck.

im guessing you mean the factory service manual? i have the owners manual and it doesnt go over that. maybe i should start asking junkyards for a 98 model as well since they seem to be pretty compatible. thats one thing i dont like about this car as its a fairly rare car, i wonder how many sold

Front fenders may be the same between the 98 and LS. Of course the grills are different. You want to look for any GM cars from that era with a Series 2 3.8l for generic parts (i.e. belt tensioner, alternator, blower motor, etc.) all of which I've found on Buicks in the salvage yard.

Your salvage yard should have a Hollanders Exchange manual, which lists what parts from different model cars will exchange to your car
