Touchy Brakes
My 1963 Starfire's brakes are too sensitive. The car stops nice and straight. Is it normal for these cars to be so sensitive when stopping? It is very hard to keep from locking up the brakes. I have to be very very careful with my foot pressure to stop normal.
Any ideas what could cause this?
I remember driving cars back in the 60's and the brakes were more sensitive than todays but I don't remember them be this touchy.

is it a power assist set up or not? i had the same thing on a 65 gto I put the wrong master on it . it was a non power master and i had a vacuum assist
and just as you stated it would lock them up . I put the proper one on and it went back to normal .

I had a 62 Buick LeSabre with PB back in late 60's. I remember the brakes being kind of touchy but this Starfire is almost impossible to keep from locking them up, especially if it hasn't been driven in a week or so. There must be something wrong, just have to try to figure it out.
