1965 Cutlass V6 Sports Coupe
First let me say that this is NOT mine.
I met a really nice guy who told me he had this for sale, so I met him after Carlisle was done.
He's losing his space to store it and is trying to sell it but he's not on here or social media.
PM me and I'll give you his info. He's asking 4k...but would definitely deal!
I think this would make on helluva project for any '65 you wanted to build.
I believe this car should be a 3527, but the data plate shows a 3827. I've heard this happened before on V6 cars.
BUT, you could always swap in a V8.
Good:
-pretty rare car in very solid shape, solid floors, hood, trunk, fenders etc.
I walked around this car tapping everywhere and don't think there's any filler/bondo on it.
-running condition
-power steering, power brakes, power trunk release
-electric windows! (how often do you see that in a '65.?)
-Electric clock, radio
The not-so-good.
-Small rust spot on left side quarter on wheel well(I checked every other lip of this car and they're mint)
-Trunk...well it's a '65 and needs to be replaced- comes with 3 piece patch panels
-window channels? He had tape over them and said they were ok...but you need to check.
-He has some interior pieces and is trying to get his hands on the rest. An upholstery shop has it I believe.

Yet another example of where the cowl tag didn't match the VIN. The 1964-65 V6 Sport Coupes were essentially Cutlass models but with a V6. The whole point of the Cutlass was that it only came with a V8, so these cars couldn't be badged as a Cutlass. As far as Fisher was concerned, this was a Cutlass Sport Coupe body and interior (including the standard equipment bucket seats), so it got a Cutlass Sport Coupe cowl tag. This car would be an awesome daily driver with a T5.

ACC code 5C for 1965 is a new one on me. In 67 that was optional shoulder belts, but these were not an option for 1965. The X is the power windows, and 5W is deluxe seat belts. Interesting that the power trunk doesn't show up in the ACC codes - it should have been an "S" code. Perhaps the power trunk release was dealer installed.
