Ok, I have to ask this. This is a 72 CS with AC, but I see it still has a vent window. Anyone know the story of why? I could understand it if the car was non AC, but not like this.
Seller is asking 2 door price for a 4 door fixer upper IMO. I think the original sale price was spot on.

On the 4239 supreme I have it's the same way, perhaps due to the short B pillar design and used for better rigidity on doors....? WAG... OT worthy of IMO. Brett

Worthy guess, but I'm not really buying it. I don't think structural rigidity plays a part when you look at the size of a HT door. It sure doesn't play a lot of structural role IMO on the 4239. On the f85 Town Sedans (3269) I can see where there's some structural addition. Personally I think they were just being lazy with design overall. I know that post cars without AC got the dash pad without any vent cut outs and vent windows just made sense. With AC though? Doesn't make sense.

Dave, from what I've been able to find, all 1970/71/72 4 door Cutlass models have vent (wing) windows. Only difference is whether they were HT models or post cars. Still don't understand why they had vent windows though.
None of the 1969 and newer B/C body sedans (Post or HT's) had vent windows. That's why I'm wondering why ALL the GM A body sedans did. Seems like only the 2 door A body cars got the vent window removed starting in 1969.
