We saved this from the crusher since finding 51 parts seems to be difficult. Would like to sell the whole car or may part it out. No eng/trans. has the clock steering wheel option with the compass on the dash. SS is in good shape, many other parts are not bad at all. Look it over and message me if interested. Would sell the whole car for $1000.

The Olds is in Bennington, Vt. 5 miles from the NY border, one hour to Albany, NY. An hour north of Pittsfield, MA

The steering wheel and clock is worth more than you are asking for the car. I would sell those separately. I am serious. Pull the compass also and sell it with the steering wheel.

Glenn, I have seen those sell for varying amounts over the years. We were hoping to find someone to take the whole car. Just kills me to think of crushing the rest of the car with so many good pieces. If we have to we will as a last resort. Thanks for your input.

I understand your hoping the wheel and compass might make someone want to save the rest. I already have three four doors sitting here I 'saved' just that way, two languishing for years now. Yes, the small parts especially fasteners mean a lot if you are building these cars, two with titles, one a field car. One had the wheel and compass as a incentive. That said if it comes to breaking it up, please try to save:
  • Bumpers and brackets, especially rear
  • Front fenders and hood complete with all fasteners - they come off the car fast
  • Rear bumper filler panel, even if it isn't perfect. Very hard to find off of a car
  • Dashboard assemblies, cluster, radio, ***** if good, glove compartment door, etc.
  • ALL the brake parts to include backing plates and drums
  • Driveshaft
  • If by chance someone added power steering, please save box/mast jacket/all fasteners
  • Fan Shroud/Radiator
  • Voltage Regulator if Delco-Remy
  • Master Cylinder (I already have about 20)
  • Save steering linkage in one piece end to end if any good at all, especially drag link
I might buy some of these parts if it comes to parting it out, I'll raise my hand now for the rear bumper filler panel if good and broken down to three pieces, shipped. We are separated by some physical distance. I hope you recall our nice deal previously. Thanks - Chris

Chris, we will see how this goes. I will keep you in the loop and thanks for the advice on those parts.
