Driving through Emory Texas yesterday saw this car on the side of the road. I don't know anything about it except what I could see. It does have original interior in white but some of the seams are ripped, there is a grant sport steering wheel installed and I think some aftermarket gauges under the dash. The hood is metal. That's it guys just wanted to share.

For the most part I agree with you all. However, what if it had a brand-new high dollar engine in it and it is a factory 4-speed car? I doubt that may be the case but it certainly could change the value. From the pictures we have it doesn't look like it has much rust but we don't know that either. Chances are it is not worth $25,000 but only The Shadow knows.

I can't say I've seen a vinyl top with a seam down the center (2 pcs, never really paid close attention). My '68's original top has two seams, one on each side (3 pcs). Is the top on this car a replacement? Or did some come from the factory that way?
Now that I think about it a bit more, I think mine has seams at the top of each A-pillar, making it 5 pcs. I don't see those seams on this car.

A very common dealer-installed option. Far easier to install w/ a center-line seam. Larger dealers would purchase templates for a large variety of new vehicles (they sold). There existed many vinyl top specialty companies (back when this car was new). Dealers would/could also purchase their own rolls (bolts) of vinyl fabric. $30-$50 cost would often yield a nice $150-$200 profit for an "add-on" dealer installed vinyl top. Vinyl top colors offered by automobile manufacturers, while there was a fair/modest selection, might not be the color the purchaser was interested in. Albeit, dealerships (many of them) installed vinyl tops as soon as the car rolled off the auto carrier.
