Nice Black 85 442 - not mine

This car is right down the street from me. I'll be happy to stop by and check it out if anyone is interested.

I noticed the add said 305. After I saw the pic of the engine it is a 307 which is correct for a 85 442. I guess the car lot only looked at the 5.0 liter on the emission sticker and assumed it was a 305.

Nice looking car.

If you do go lay your eyes on it I would be curious about the paint, dings, dents, and scratches. The interior(In pics the interior looks dirty), and I guess what the underside looks like. Show quality original? no repaint?
I'm considering bidding on it on ebay although I would rather one with t-tops

Thanks!

My guess is 129K miles and one recent repaint.
All that shampooing and still can't get the dirt out?

Nice looking car.
I run into a lot of people who assume that the 5.0l in the Olds is a 305 Ch*vy engine. Of course they rarely know diddlely about cars.

I didn't say original engine. I said correct engine. If it had a 305 someone would have swap it in into the car which would have been a down grade. The Olds 307 came in the 80's 442.

My wife and I were actually in McKinney, TX about a month ago. I know where that Susuki dealer is. I drove right by it multiple times. We were test drive different "family" cars. If I would have stopped by that dealership and saw that Olds I would have been sleeping on the couch for a year!

I went by to see this car today...but it sold this morning. It was still in the shop so I did get to see it. It was really nice. It appeared that maybe the roof had been repainted, but I really could find no tell-tale signs that the body had been repainted. The body and paint were very, very nice. As for the interior, I'm not sure why the pics made it look dirty, because it was absolutely immaculate. Nice gray, clean and no flaws that I could see. The underneath was pretty clean too. Overall, a really beautiful car... and sold for $8500.
