Airless tires?

Just watches the youtube on airless tires. I don't see any use for them on highway driven cars or for anything driven at any speed. Googled
Mashable tires.

Early automobiles used airless rubber tires. When I hear airless tire I think of a pre WWI truck that topped out at about 25 mph.
