Clock replacement

So my Toronado dashboard clock doesn't work. We were back east clearing out our childhood home, so I kept this clock I messed with as a kid. I think it goes well in the car! And I REALLY wanted it on top of the dash, but it doesn't fit under the windshield.

Sessions. I got it working when I was a teenager, I'll do it again 45 years later!

Looks kind of anachronistic in a Toronado, but what the hey.

Yeah, I wonder if it's twice as old as the car, probably not quite. My nieces think it's all the same "old", anything over 40...

Looks great...as long as you don't have many passengers.

Just as a mention, my dash clock didn't work either. I took it to a local mom and pop jeweler, and he cleaned and fixed it for $40. He was actually happy to work on something a little different than the usual.

Good thing you have a flat floor in the Toro.

Sessions produced mechanical clocks under their name from 1903 to 1935 so it's entirely possible. The predecessor company E.N. Welch was in business under that name by 1870.

If you're still kicking when the nieces turn 40, remind them what they considered "old".😈

I hope one of them will want the clock.

The flat floor was and is a great feature! I will make a note for when they're 40, but one saw a Toronado in their town, and said, "Look, there's Uncle Bobby's ugly car!"... She hasn't worked off the karma for that comment yet....
