I've just read that he was battling severe depression.Kinda of weird that a comedian would be depressed. He hung himself ,asphyixia.

He's resting with Andy Kaufman.

Terribly sad, but I guess not surprising - What have you heard of him doing lately?
A guy like him is like a shark. He's got to keep moving forward or he dies.
With no current shows or projects, and with a long history of depression and drinking, it was kind of inevitable.

RIP.

Man, I couldn't believe when I seen it, grew up watching him. We post one of the best comedians ever.
Good morning Vietnam is still one of my favorite movies.

R.I.P.

He was currently on a sitcom called "The Crazy Ones" and had some movie projects in the works. He was a busy man.

Many comedians are depressed and kill themselves. Either overtly or with drugs.

I stand corrected.

Personally, I hadn't heard of anything new from him in at least a decade. (But I'm not a big "media consumer").

Which, when multiplied a few hundred thousand times, explains why his show was cancelled after one season.

All I can say is "shazbot!"

The greats leave us too soon. Just proves that you never really know what's inside someone's head.

I read this interview a few months ago and this quote struck me as so tragic. A guy with all the talent he had was forced to work to pay ex-wives

“Divorce is expensive,” he recently said. “I used to joke they were going to call it ‘all the money’, but they changed it to ‘alimony’. It’s ripping your heart out through your wallet.”
