Lunar Eclipse Pictures
I set up the telescope last night and captured some images of the lunar eclipse. I packed in before the moon was fully illuminated as it ws getting a bit late for me.

Thank you for the pictures. I like this site it seems to have a great insight for upcoming events and many subscribers that are willing to share pictures. Interesting stuff.https://earthsky.org/astronomy-essen...eid=e9896f9620

www.darksky.org is another resource. We're fortunate that Staunton River State Park about 30 miles east is a prime dark sky observation site. CHAOS (Chapel Hill Astronomical Observation Society) www.chaosastro.org hosts a Star Party there every year.
Last time I went I took a group of 8th graders from the Episcopal school. One boy was very interested in both astronomy and archaeology so he got my astronomy and archaeology magazines when I'd finished with them. His last name was Jones... yeh I called him Indiana🙃.

I'm glad y'all liked the pictures.
We had some scattered cloud cover early on and I had to wait for them to clear in order to take decent pictures. As the moon was returning to full view, the clouds got too thick to even see the moon glow behind them, so I packed it in.
One of my co-workers has a very nice telescope and camera setup, but he had issues with clouds as well. He used his image program to combine the pictures he took with the ones I took and came up with these sequential images that show the progression from beginning to end.
