Thoughts and prayers to you and family ! Those of us that are religious sometimes don't understand why God would ever put someone through what your experiencing, if he truly has a purpose for each of us...Special prayers to your wife, part of her will surely be missing.

Richard,
As a paramedic, I have encountered many similar situations, the grief you and your wife are experiencing are personal, and words are a poor consolation, I would offer this: What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. -Walt emerson

Richard, my wife and I went through this about twelve years ago. It is very difficult, but you will both make it. Give it time, and give your wife as many hugs, kisses, patience, and love as you can. We will be thinking of you.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and well wishes. It really does help. We are home now and ready to start a long road to recovery. Some moments I feel like I am fine and sometimes a moment later a thought flashes through my head and I want to start balling. My wife is in the same boat but probably 10 times worse. Taylor I am not sure about. She was so excited to get a little sister. I talked you her about it a few times and she starts to cry a little and then stops herself and askes to go play with the neighborhood kids outside. I'm pretty sure that just a normal 4yo reaction but I just hope she is not trying to hold back her real feelings.
Her name is Chloe Renee. We named her many months ago.

Christ Jesus, most merciful Saviour,
Hear our prayers as we gather in Your name
We commend this child into Your arms of mercy.
Grant comfort and strength to those who gather here now..who often must face life as it moves to shadows.
Embrace them with Your eternal love
through everything they do.
Thank you for the love we would never have known......
May the angels above surround Chloe Renee
and the saints everywere welcome her with joy.
Lord God, we commend this child to Your everlasting care.
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen........
Rich Iam not a religous fellow but this prayer was very fitting........Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family in this moment of need........Jerr

Richard,
My family would like to send you our thoughts and prayers. We had a miscarriage 4 years ago. I had a time getting over it but it was worse for my
wife. Time will help. Love and support from friends and family will help too.

wow..all I can say is be strong, you'll get thru it...but don't be afraid to let it out.
Sometimes you just got to break down and cry before you can start healing.
Thoughts prayers and good vibes are being sent your way.

Richard, you don't know me at all but my heart goes out to you and your family. I know you said you aren't a religious man but you said you would welcome prayers, you have them and mine as well. When life seems out of control it's comforting to me to know that there is someone in control of it all. Everyone greives a loss differently with plenty of ups and downs. Anger and sadness, guilt and blame is common, give plenty of grace for the full range of emotions present. Talk about Chloe as often as possible and maybe give Jesus a place in your life. Lean on friends and family for help, they love you.

It is fine to cry in times of loss; I have done it several times before like most of us would. You just have to get it out. Taylor might still be too young to understand what is really happening. I was that age when my dad walked out on our family; it did not have much affect on me then.
Time heals all wounds, even though it is usually difficult to believe for a while.
Hope you all are doing better.
Take care...

Richard, As a husband and a parent my thoughts go out to you and your family. Be strong for your wife and your daughters, but not to strong to ignore your feelings, take the time to lean on loved ones and friends for support for yourself so the family can continue to lean on you. Sometimes we try to be tough for everyone else and forget about our feelings...So So Sorry to hear about your loss.

words can't describe the sadness we all feel for you. I can't say much that hasn't already been said, but I think it would be a big benefit for your family to get counseling that the hospital recommends, and join a support group as soon as you can.

Richard-
I too would like to offer my deepest sympathies to you and your family. As a father, I struggle to comprehend why this has to happen to anyone. You don't have to be religious to feel sorrow and compassion for those in need after suffering a loss. My family and I will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers. I only wish I could do more.
Again, so sorry for your loss, and a special silent prayer for Chloe Renee.

My deepest condolences!
Richard,
I am very sorry to hear of your family's loss, It is unimagineable to me the kind of grief that you and your wife are going through. As was already said I don't think the words exist to properly convey My (our) sympathy, or to ease your loss, they say God never gives you more then you can handle, but it's times like these that make me unsure, I will certainly keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I want to thank you guys again. We buried Chloe this morning it was hard but we made it through. I had my wife sit with me and I watched her carefully read each and every one of your messages. She wanted me to let you all know how much she appreciated the wishes.
