75 Cutlass Hurst W30

Hi All... New member here.

I have an opportunity to purchase a 75 olds Cutlass hurst W30. It is black w/black padded vinyl top, 455 #'s matching, air conditioning (works) and essentially unmolested. It needs restoration but runs well and looks pretty decent. No dents or rust to speak of. Actually would probably not necessarily need restoration. Anyway, do any of you have any ideas what a fair price range is for this car?

You would have to make sure it is a bonafide Hurst W30. It could be an older clone restoration. Post some pics if you can.

I expect the VIN would answer that but lets just assume it is for now. So far no real answers. Anyone have an idea??

I don't know what a fair value would be but there's another site that focuses just on that vintage of Oldsmobile. Someone there might have more knowledge of they could share with you.

I can think of absolutely no reason anyone would clone any 73-later Hurst. And yes, I own a 74.

I hear more noise about people wanting to clone 83-4 H/O and 85-7 442 than anything, and I have to ask, what is the point?

As far as what it's worth, a lot depends on who's buying and where. I would personally not pay more than $12-15k for a pristine one, but others seem to think these cars should trade in the $25-27k range. I don't buy into the belief that just because it's old, it's worth a fortune. Plus it's easy to sink more than the car would ever be worth into restoring one of these, with all the special Hurst pieces and the infamous 70s GM plastic, rust and chrome.
