Will a A Body rear differential bolt into an B-Body?
I am having a custom rear end built for my 66 Starfire and was wondering if they can use the A-body control arm location to weld
it in a jig. I know you can use the same control arms. Just wasn’t sure about the control arms spacing/angles.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Anything can be done with a welder ...Never bothered to try anything - not enough want.
I am sure they are different...BUT again with enough measuring cutting and welding it can be done.

Everything depends on WHICH A body your trying to make work (1964-1972 or 1973-1977) upper control arm mounts cast into the top of the housing will be your biggest hurdle when custom fitting another rear in place. There are many aftermarket companies now that sell double adjustable upper arms with spherical rod ends so they will take up the angles for correct articulation.
ALL the brackets from your big b body can be removed and reattached to any rear....This is not a easy or non tedious task...but we have done a few here and there.
There are no rears that will just plug and play.
just a lot of labor and work and if costs the customers plenty.
