1966 Delta 88 gas tank INFO NEEDED

A 1965 Olds B-body tank will bolt in, but you'll need the 1965 sender unit as well. Internal baffling is different between 65-66 and the sender float arm installed in the wrong tank will get hung up on the baffling.
Yup- you'da thunk all GM B-cars would use similar tanks.

You didn't ask how I know this...
Had I read the fine print in the parts book and dug far enough into the TIL's I'd have saved meself some grief. As it was, I figured we had a working 66 sender from the old tank so why chance the junkyard 65 sender?
You can guess what happened next. Bah, phooey. And I saw that the float arms were bent different.
The good folks at AutoInstruments up in Martinsville rescued us once again by rebuilding the 65 sender. I recommend their work. www.autoinstruments.com
