Oil Filter Conversion To Spin On

This is a great site and my first inquiry was directly answered thanks to Oldsguy.
Now I need to decide to keep the oil cannister setup or convert to a spin on. I know the cannister only filters to 20 microns and that I can prevent future wear with a quality spin on filter. My 57 Olds has 56k miles.
I would like to hear any pros and cons plus any experiences encountered with the conversion, especially the install itself.
Thanks Guys and here is what I am talking about.

No experience or comments on this one, but thanks for the compliment. For what it's worth, the workmanship on the product you are considering looks pretty good.

Just curious if you have had a chance to run that new filter adapter yet? Some others may be anxious to hear as well.

How was install, use, repair?
I am sick of dealing with the paper filter cans and would like to know if this is a viable option.
thanks.
