Lightbulb red

got a basket project where guy stuck a built 455 into 72 cutlass S body that had an original 350-2. Working through everything but now am to the point of the electrical and have wires that I do not know where they go. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 72 Cutlass S or know of a source to obtain one??
THANKS

get yourself a service manual

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-...#ht_500wt_1182

careful to get a service manual not a body manual for the wiring (I think - if I am wrong someone will surely point it out)

7 on ebay right now

Good advice on the shop book. All A-body V8 engine wiring is the same those years. 350, 455, makes no difference.

Something tells me you've found the transmission controlled spark wiring. That throws a lot of folks esp if the TCS has been disabled or removed.

that is the 1st I have heard of TCS on a 72 - but I guess I am getting old and am reminded of trans controlled throttle on Jetaways...

or was that an Oldsmobile dream too? (trust me I am having them)

All 1972 Oldsmobiles except 350-2bbl, stick, non-AC cars had them. Which is to say most of them had them. Of all places to find it, the 72 CSM discusses TCS under "Engine Cooling".
