Just curious, are you the organizer of this, or who is? This is not part of Nor Cal Old Club?

How many events does Nor Cal Olds club organize every year? Edit: never mind I just found their web page, I think I may become a member.

Show up and have a good time.

Yes I am organzing it. And asking CO BB members for help.
This is an open invite for an Olds owner meetup.
With the cars out on display...

For those who don't disclose their location in their profile, and don't mind telling us, I'd like to know where we interested parities are based.
WLS559: Where is EDH California?
In the 559 area, I'm guessing...

As stated, I'm from the east Bay Area in Berkeley / Oakland.
Current living in the Diabo Valley 925 area

Just went to NCOC site. Looks cool, but seems like mostly older pre-muscle car owners. And they are very active in Oregon!
The Nor Cal events they hold are way outside of the SF Bay Area.
They listed the Good Guys Pleasanton events as "other events of interest"

So, while it looks cool, it doesn't show any bay area activity.
Seems like they'd want to see an event like this happen and succeed.

If anyone here is a NCOC member, please help us bring this to them.
If not, I will cold contact them and hope for the best...

A guy named Larry publishes the bi monthly news letter. I'm sure he would list it in the news letter if you contact him. I think his email is on the Nor Cal site.

I live in Oakdale (close to Modesto/Manteca, anyone who has gone to Yosemite has probably passed thru) and I might try to make it out there. The car I will have by then will be a work in progress, NOT close to perfect or correct (heck it is still primed but has an interesting story...), but networking might be worth the trip.

Good, I won't feel so bad about my almost parted out 68! Thatis if it's ready by then. I still have a few parts to find and lots of work to do.

NCOC Club

When I was a member (about two years ago) I found the group in general to be a very friendly bunch but not to ambitious as far as doing much if anything different or additional than what was done the year before. With the hassles the OCA was having at that time and with only the regionals and a few long distance dinners happening made it hard to justify the dues verses the enjoys I was getting so I dropped out and concentrated on events more local or entertaining to me.You may get a better response as they are probably looking for new blood and may be responsive......Tedd

Thanks Ces! Count me in. The weather should be great that weekend. My car's a work in progress too, I haven't driven it further than around the block so far but by October I should have the bugs worked out.

Glad to hear it.
My car is now in question as my frame tore at the front suspension.
I hope to back on the road in time to make it happen.
With all I'm now dealing with on my car, it may affect my ability to get this together properly.
I will check back in after I make some progress on my repairs.

Thanks all

Ces, check Modesto Craigslist, 68 A-body rolling chasis for sale, it's a Skylark but might be worth inquiring about (for the frame). Looks like the guy just wants it gone! Saw the ad over the weekend.

Oh cool man, thank you! I just learned this evening that this issue should be all repaired by this time next week.
By the grace of God and with a little luck, I'll be back to normal and able to pick up where I left off with the planning for this awesome get together.

I'd love to hear that someone here on CO would like to get
involved in helping plan this.
Anyone care to help progress this event?

Let me know, thank you

Awesome. Will do.
As stayed in the OP, it's at Pier 23 Bar Resaurant in San Francisco.
If that changes, we'll be sure to update the thread.
Thx

Nor cal olds club america has joined the event

Great News!
Thanks to 442 Harv, I talked with Mr. Ewing.
The President of The Nor Cal Chapter of The Olds Club Of America.
He expressed his interest in this event.
The club has been looking for an October event to become involved with.
As it's early in our communication, we'll see what comes of it.

At this time it seems we have their blessing and participation, on some level.

It also looks like I'll be back on the road this time next week.
So I'm back on track to make this show, and make the show happen!

Awesome stuff...

Still looking for people to help organize the event.

Thanks all!
