66 442 buffed out pretty nice
66 I bought 5 weeks ago, sat in a garage in upstate Michigan, Petowski..paint 30 years old, dried crystalized tree sap..ugh.. well after some serious buffing and a bit of wet sanding polishing it came out pretty good..need to put emblems back on, polish stainless trim etc. interior cleaned up real nice, got a tri carb on the way..detail engine back, then go underneath..degrease and clean up.. be a very nice driver..

1966 pontiac 2+2.. had many gto, firebird and trans am..wanted something different hence the B body catalina 2+2..gto’s everywhere at every car show, rarely see a 2+2 or a 65-66-67 442..thats why I like em..my 2+2 is a tripower car like the 442 will be soon. Funny thing is the original color of the 2+2 was martinique bronze, the 66 442 is sierra mist poly..both colors are exactly the same paint code. Pontiac now tiger gold, 442 obviously black.. love the cars of 1966

Once i get emblems and stainless polished I will re post a few pics.. interior is real nice, needs a dash pad which I have. Not looking forward to pulling the dash to put it on tho..lol.. lots of brittle plastic and old wiring plugs..what could go wrong?. Lol. I'm like a gorilla in a glass shop.. not the most patient or dainty.. The engine really needs pulled to clean and detail it right, just not sure thats going to happen. May have to have a everything around the engine detail..
Is there anything I need to know about putting the tri carb intake on the engine? Any little oldsmobile nuances to avoid leaks etc I mean. I have swapped a lot of Pontiac intakes but they are easy as they have a valley pan..
