73 Cutlass S - 80k!!!!

Saw this on Craigslist, https://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/ctd/d/henderson-1973-oldsmobile-cutlass/7418707750.html. They want $80K for a restomod (LS of course). "Factory t-tops", hmm thought those didn't come out until 75 H/O.

This car was discussed here on this thread. You are correct on good luck on getting even half that.

Nice looking car, ridiculously overpriced. That's a 10 thousand dollar car in my book. And the LS engine swap and transmission is a negative to me and the ultimate insult to real Olds guys. The fact that ads like this always talk so glowingly about the Chevrolet engine swap tells me they have no clue how offensive it is to a true Oldsmobile enthusiast. Which are likely the only potential customers to grossly overpay for an Olds.

Oldsmobile 330s are great engines, 400s are great engines, 425s are great engines, 455s are great engines, and 350s are great engines, up to 1976. All can be built up to exceed their cubic inch displacement numerically in net horsepower rating. Even stock some were born with gross numbers that are a close match to their CIDs and plenty powerful as is.

With 5 prominent and readily available options I see absolutely no need to put an LS engine in a Oldsmobile. And if you deem an Olds engine not worthy regardless of year and version. Well maybe you shouldn't own an Oldsmobile in my opinion.
