just curious if any guys in the northern illinois and surrounding states going up there for the drags sept 10-11 . It usually draws crowds from all over., i plan on being up there the whole weekend feel free to stop by and say hi .

I am planning on going Saturday. I'm hoping to bring my 442 but only as a spectator, I don't think the 455 is up to the task. I keep thinking next year will be the year but maybe the third time is the charm.

Yeah I hope everything stays together on my car I was a spectator for 3 years I have been able to race last year and hopefully this year a lot can happen in 3 days lol

sounds good i usually pit next to the rocket racing guys again like i said feel free to stop by after the racing ends ill have beer in the cooler im camping at the track again this year hopefully i have a tent. last year my girlfriend forgot the poles for the tent we got stuck sleeping in the bed of my truck lol

First time I ran my car at the track was 3 years ago at the Byron BOP. I caught the bug first time out. I've spent a small fortune trying to get a motor to hold together ever since. Hopefully next year I will be able to run it again.

After reading through some of the other threads on here I think it was detenation both times. Hopefully this time around I will get it right. I really enjoyed racing it and would love to get back at it wit ha respectable time. The motor I have in it now is in pretty rough shape but at least I can drive it.

sadly I have plans. besides the W-31 is missing the front clip at the moment. and if I were able to make it, I'd bring my poncho anyway since I put a new motor in it recently.

@ robz442 yeah i know how you feel the currnet motor i have i had all built ready to fire up just to find out the head gaskets where wrong and it was leaking coolant everywhere . i had to take the motor back out and get diffrent pistons because i was relying on shim gaskets for compression i had to rebuild a rebuilt motor . It does not compare to what your situation is trust me at yout point id be steaming at the ears .
