Can you identify what this fits?

I need to know what this fits. I removed it from a car over 40 years ago and I thought it was an Oldsmobile Holiday hardtop from 1956, but I honestly don't remember the details now. I have 2 now, the second one I've had for 20 years. I got it at a swap meet and the guy I bought it from didn't know what it fit either. Can anyone identify what year and model this is from? Many thanks for your assistance. Help!! I had 2 pictures displayed in this post but when I got ready to post it they disappeared and these boxes showed up with OBJ in them. What does OBJ mean? I can't get my pictures to come back now. What do I do to fix this?

I found your images by sleuthing through the Gallery. Something isn't correct pertaining to your method of posting, but we'll get that figured out. I posted to your other (first) thread something to consider on the file formats the forum will accept. Check you're not trying to post an OBJ (.obj) file format.

Vintage Chief, Thank you for posting my pictures here, I am grateful. I'm unfamiliar with the types of files for pictures. All I know is how to aim the phones camera and shoot. On the Cadillac LaSalle forum I have posted countless pictures without issue, so this is confusing me. I will try to figure it out. . Thank you again, Rick

You'll figure it out - if not, ask.
