Does anybody know a source for original radiator codes?
Good morning Olds people, I've got a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I know the radiators from 1968-72 had both a metal tag clipped on the radiator and numbers/letters pressed into the tank. I've got someone looking for an original 4 row radiator for their project and I'd like to help him out. But first I need to make sure I'm not selling something I need for one of my project cars. My long term goal is to make my 1968,69 and 70 cars as original as possible and someday I'll be looking for the correct radiator for each of them. I'm not the most organized person in the world and I've been tucking extra radiators up in the rafters for years. By now I don't remember what I pulled them out of. Does anybody know of a reference that would tell me what radiator code these years of 442's would have come with? Thanks! John

Well that's interesting. The only parts books I have that have those charts are ones dated 1973 and newer, and the charts only go back to 1970, too. I never noticed the charts before, because all the parts books dated '72 and before don't have them!

Appears it's about 5.5" below the centerline of the upper transmission cooler port. I know it doesn't quite look like it, but it's the angle of the pic is messed up. Or just count the ribs in the side tank. Hope this helps.
