Sounds like a fun event for sure. I will be in Astoria, OR that evening though.
Hopefully someone will post some youtube vids of some of the runs!

As usual I'll be videoing from inside the car and from the stands as well (I'm a magician). I'll also video a run or two in Danny's car. It should be a good time

The silver car is confirmed for the BOP race. The Warden has officially proclaimed that the trip is mandatory so we can enter our first official race. I can't wait.

Sicky, I'm coming for you bud! I'm gonna try to run in the 12.00-14.99 index so I get a shot at the Hurst

So Rob, you want the camera right on the dash as opposed to my normal mounting spot? Have you seen the video's I've posted before?

I have seen some track vids and many did not show much through the windshield. Where are yours again?

Wow! The cars wanted to go fast but the track wouldn't hold them. I spun after the 60' and got out of it completely and right back into it and still ran a 12.40 at 110 mph. Next pass spun again and ran a 15 something...then they shut the track down because it was too slick. It rained yesterday and never fully dried. We still had a blast getting to see everyone and are happy with how the trip went despite the track conditions.

We got home at 3:30 am, went to bed at 7:00 am, but got woken up at 9:15 am to talk to the constable that was writing up the report for the 16 year old that plowed into my 2006 Honda Accord that was parked on the street in front of my house. Huh, at least it wasn't FIL's truck or a Cutlass that got hit. I'll post pictures later, I've got to take a nap. At least USAA was easy to deal with and the kid has insurance...just a PITA that I wasn't expecting.

The only guy that went home happy was Mark. He did an amazing job of driving his car down the track while the rest of us were getting our butts handed to us. Great job Mark! One of these days we need to line up again because I think we'll be neck and neck, it'd be a great race! And very nice car by the way

Well Rob, I only recorded one pass and it wasn't a good one. But I think I like your idea of mounting the camera right over the hood. It provides for an interesting perspective, especially when the only thing I could see was the tail end of Mark's 11.90 Cutlass. Nice pass Mark
