I don't understand why people just throw things out without asking. Do you have to label everything in the house for cleaning ladies/wives/roommates, whichever? Time to get a new cleaning lady!

Holy moly... That's tragic...
I can't imagine how PO'd I'd be..
Hell, I was upset when my wife accidentially threw out a box with some of my old ('70/'80s) concert t-shirts....

Does the guy have insurance on the car. The Hagerty policy I have has coverage on "parts" even if they are not on the car

One good thing I can say about my ex wife, is that she never threw out my stuff, even in the divorce.

As the owner of the formerly perfect dashboard......if this is my 15 minutes of fame, it's really not what I imagined.
One thing that wasn't mentioned in the original was that the dashboard was actually IN THE GARBAGE TRUCK!!! One of my employees and I went running across the street to stop the driver. Nice guy......he climbed INTO the trash area of the truck and found the box. Sadly, he had already compacted it. Crazy story......would have been funny if it hadn't been crushed, or if it hadn't been MY dashboard.

Looks like you might have some replacements. That one looks like it's toast. Did the circuit board on the RP survive?
