Just a friendly safety tip...

I'm sure most of you are aware of this, but I found something mildly disturbing under my car today, and reminders are always good...

Whenever you aquire an old car that hasn't been on the road for a while, or questionabley maintained...CHECK EVERYTHING!

While under my 88 changing the oil filter I noticed that one of the lower suspension nuts was VERY loose...like almost off the bolt. Upon checking the rest, almost all of them were loose. So yeah...I think I'll be inspecting the entire thing now.

Good luck out there and be safe.

I know a guy that has a small plane. You do a walk around every time you fly it. His small son followed him around watching him. One day he is finished getting ready to fly his son says why is the wheel wet. What do you mean? he walks over checks it out finds a split brake line. He got so used to doing and not seeing. sometime you need another set of eyes.

Same with tractor trailers. And yes, you do get too used to seeing...but not seeing. Always good to do a periodical, Thorough inspection. A check list helps also.
