need YOUR help- PN for 1976 98 Motor Mt FRAME PADS

Gr. 0.029 usually

I am trying to help the feller here that needs frame pads

question is, do the pads off my 76 98 regency 455
fit his 73 D88 455 properly?

for PN's, I have, from the PN Manuals I have [thru 1975 typically]:

411258 73-74 B,C w/ 455 - RH
408454 73-75 B,C w/ 455 - LH

Note that the RH allegedly stops at 1974 while the RH covers thru 1975

We don't know about 1976 w/o a newer PN Manual

I have photos of the 1976 98 brackets, watch for that soon. MUCH taller than the common A-body brackets but overall similar in design.

I'm sure somebody on here will know this but if not, I should be able to check my book for you.

Question for you based on your post. Are you parting out a 76 98 ?

Pads have been sent
it would still be nice to have the PN's for these frame pads/ brackets for the '76 98 Regency

Yes, the car is for parts but it's pretty bad now. Coons got in the trunk. I gave them an eviction notice. I took loose most interior parts years ago with the idea of selling via e.g. ebay but then got a job so that stalled. Engine/ trans gone. Some underhood stuff remains. Some interior.

Big book # 763 reads PN 408454 73-76 B-C Front left...PN 411258 73-75 B-C w/455- Front right.

So, at this time it appears that the 73 B body 455 requires

'258 RH
'454 LH

vs the 76 Regency 98's known [per above from #763 book]

??? RH - still no listing ?
'454 LH

A match on the LH side, still short of info on RH side

I will say though that the two units I extracted from the 76 98 Regency appeared to be identical, so LH should be same as RH... for the 76 C car with 455. These are about 2" tall overall, much taller than similar type A-body pads one might find reproduced.

Phone refuses to upload pix to the web today- filled storage? "ERROR" is all I get. Trying to run thru wire from phone to computer, which takes forever. Always starts to copy ALL photos on phone to computer, even though many are already in the computer.

Cost me a quart of blood to get these things. Never seen mosquitos that thick.

The crossmembers are the same, the rubber motor mounts are the same, and of course the blocks are the same, so even if the frame pad has a different P/N for 1976, it should be dimensionally the same as the earlier ones.

So it sounds like you still have the car, right? Can you post some pics of it both inside and out and under the hood so I can see if there's still any meat on the bones worth picking? I have 2 '76 98's and know a lot of people with them so there could definitely be something left on there for somebody.

thanks!

Mosquitos galore
sweltering heat
Costly gasoline
brush overgrown to the point the doors are hard or impossible to open
coon crap and dead coons here and there.

It'll take a while to work up enthusiasm for that next trip.

Wow, looks like she's been sitting there for quite some time. Is it a coupe or sedan? It looks like there are likely some parts on there still so if you can dig up any other pics or take some new ones when time allows for it, that would be great. Let me know what you can about the car in the meantime.

Yes, Yes, I know this thread is very old. What was the final verdict on the 1976 Olds 98 Frame pad? Are they interchangeable with the 1973-1975? Thanks
