AKA "Cat's Paw" pliers

Item 1
Auto Zone Remote Acting Cable Type Spring Ring Hose Clamp Pliers, similar to

POS DOES NOT WORK AT ALL

It has ALMOST the same design as the real tool, but they made the slidey part too short with respect to its acting tabs. Like a rod and divider bookend. Learned that in some Engineering Class. There is a certain size ratio that determines if the slidey mechanism is naturally locking, like the book stand, or naturally sliding, like any linear actuator SHOULD be.

Returned the useless Taiwan remote clamp pliers for money back.

Spotted Matco version at the Buy-n-Sell Store.
Checked Amazon and epay to find nothing but Taiwan crap or Mayhew tool for a lot of $ [$35 to $100++] and shipped from England? No MATCO version to be found.

Back to the store, pay the $60 they want for a real tool.

Works just like it should.
Also has a major and fine adjustment built in, so you can get the setting just right. Smooth and proper.

Another useless POS

http://www.ebay.com/itm/400528145950...84.m1423.l2649

Well, *presumably*

I can tell a lot by the photo
wrong ratio on the slider makes it self LOCKING not sliding
No coarse or fine adjustment

Pales in comparison to a real one.
