Sometimes its just hard to hate CA!

Though yes CA has its many issues but sometimes you forget them for a day! This was my Saturday and I managed to squeeze 19mpg outta the 455 by keeping my foot out of it and simply cruising. Maybe one will make next years Olds Calendar!@!

Nice....the car that is....the scenery is okay too

I drove a 2013 Subaru Outback to Florida and back and I do not think I was getting 19 mpg out of the miserable 4 banger,

Beautiful shots, were they taken a few miles north of Fort Bragg, it looks very familiar? I think my signature picture was taken about there.......Tedd

both the car and the scenery look great, I guess the one thing we have is the anticipation of driving the car in spring each year. We have that pent of desire to drive which makes that first drive special every year. But sometimes I'd like to know what its like to drive the car all year around, I think I could suffer through that!

I miss seeing the snow and enjoying it but I do not miss driving in it or shoveling it. If I want my fix I just go to the mountains! haha Yes after I moved out of OH I have suffered with riding my motorcycles and driving my toys all year round just not in CA until recently! I'm not sure exactly where these shots were but it was between Monterey and 46 on the PCH. Yes 19mpg and I was surprised myself. But I always write down the odo when I fill up and check it when I fill up again. Its simple just get in the slow lane and keep the car around 60 and your MPG will show it. I was in no hurry to get to Monterey as the drive up 5 is very boring. My 2.56 rear helps the MPG and she has plenty of torque to get up and go if I want to.

Where I am at its $3.93. Of course thats cash because the gas station owners charge $.10-$.30 more a gal is you use a CC. (highway robbery) If you go near a big city or out in the boonies then it jumps $.30-$1.00 more.

$3.39 a gallon here in Alabama.

I miss California. Lived there for almost four years way back when. Loved the weather. And snow was only a short drive away during the winter.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I took my 350 powered Cutlass with a 2.56 rear on a 600 mile drive and averaged about 18-21 so 19 out of a big block is awesome.

Those are great pictures! What you did (road trip) is something I would like to do someday, along that same road. When the fog is blown off-shore, the sunshine and the scenery cannot be beat along that part of the California coast. And the real cake-topper is that blue car, smack dab in the middle of it! It looks to have been a top notch trip through Big Sur.

Gorgeous car and equally gorgeous pictures. You can't go wrong with the PCH and a badass muscle car.

LOVE those pictures! Get them ready for calendar submission.
I hate a lot of things about Cali, but those Pacific sights are its treasures. Lots of wonderful natural places in that state for sure.
