My glove box lock cylinder spins around freely, does anyone know by looking at this picture if I am missing something that should hold it in place?

There is a lock ring under the key bezel that needs to be tightened so it clamps the lock assembly to the glove box door so the lock does not spin. It's been over 25 years since I worked on mine so I can't really remember how to go about it. I remember inserting the key to remove the lock cylinder/bezel then tightening the locking ring. Hopefully someone with more recent experience will post up.

I read your post yesterday and didn't know how to respond until Kenneth touched on something.

If the cylinder can come out, its easy to tighten.

How to get it out, I don't know. Mine used to fall out on bumpy roads.

To re-install the cylinder, it will go in most all the way, then you need a small screw driver or a paper clip to press the last plunger,drops right in.

This is where you have to get a bit creative in finding something to tighten the locknut.

Put a little bit of the weaker Loc-tite on it. Haven't had a problem in a long time with mine.
