GM Service Parts Identification Codes

Hello there,

I've been stumped by a number of codes and I hope someone will know what they refer to please...

6PS
7PB
8DX
9DX
1SE
and finally
WA-L9180 U9180 66D
I think the latter relates to paint finish?

Thanks for any answers.

Cheers.

Hello Pat,

Thank you. I entered the codes and it brought up information. These all apparently all relate to Computer SEL Suspension. As the car in question is a 1988 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon I wonder if these codes have changed since 1988 as it has just springs and shocks? I'll do a further search with this new information.

On the paint front yes my Olds is painted in Medium Beechwood metallic. I was hoping to learn more as I also have the code '57U' which is listed as "Primary color, exterior, Camel Beige (91). I guess thats the base and a further coat is added...

Thanks for your help!

Cheers Fenn

Hi Joe,

Thank you! I've been looking online. I guess its a bit like the old RTS = Radial Tuned Suspension thingo that GM use to market?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Fenn
