1984 H/O Assembly Line Number
I am the original owner of a 1983 Hurst Olds. I was able to get my assembly line number from the GM Heritage Center. You can email them and request it. Also for $50 dollars they will provide you a copy of the original dealers invoice. They can email it to you. The dealer's invoice shows all options as built as well as what the dealer paid for it, shipping etc. They have production records for 1977 to present, nothing pre "77.'
You will need to provide the VIN# for both requests. They gave me my sequence number for free. There is a form you fill out online and a place for a credit card payment for them to provide the Dealer's invoice document.
I would suggest writing an email asking for the production number and you will probably get that in a quick return email. They will advise where to find the online form to receive the dealer's invoice. Please see below.

Keep in mind that the conversion sequence (which C&C says they didn't keep numbers) may not match your production number. Just like the previous models, they pulled them into the facility without regard for VIN sequencing. For example, I believe the last H/O to be converted which has all the sigs under the hood actually isn't the last production number car. I could be wrong on that, but somehow I seem to remember something like that coming up.
