1988 20th Anniversary H/O

Just wanted to post some pics I took the other night at dusk of the silver car. On the exterior, the only thing left to finish is add the H/O emblems to the sail panels and the 20th Anniversary appliqué to the trunk lower right.

Thanks! The pic from the front came out blurry and I didn't know it until I was in the house and it got dark. I have a (practically) one off of the FE3X hood scoop that can be seen in my sig pic.
The paint scheme is a G body version of the original 1968 H/O paint scheme. In fact, the colors are the original colors, Ebony Black and Peruvian Silver with a white pinstripe surrounding the break from black to silver.

I just noticed that my intermittent right rear marker light is out...

Nice touch, '68 H/Os are my favorite since they are unique.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!
I know that I have the '69 H/O plate on the rear, but was there one for the '68 H/O that's different or more correct? When I get it re-registered and a new Fla plate, I'm going to put the commemorative plate on the front. Would be nice to know if it's different.

The original 69 H/O plates looked different than what you got there. They were a heavy paper/cardboard deal in gold and black on white background. Paul Panczuk and Kurt Karch "schemed" together several years ago and had some repros printed up and I was lucky enough to snag one. At some point later on, the type you got became the 69-72 standard-bearer.

Here's a 68 type of plate that would look more at home on your car, I think. The Parts Place sells them.

Forgot to say thanks for the post! Was there an original 1968 H/O commemorative plate issued in 1968 like the original 1969 plate shown in your post?

I don't recall an official one for 1968 off the top of my head. There might have been, but someone more familiar with 68s would have the hot skinny on that.

Not sure if it was "issued" to the public at the time but that "68" type plate was used on the 1968's....

Thanks! I’ll get the one from the Parts Place as it seems the most “right” for a 20th Anniversary H/O.

anybody want my ‘68 one?🤣

Got the one from the Parts Place. Definitely like the silver better since it fits with the theme.

Thanks! Once I get it re-registered for the street again, I will put that plate on the front plate spot.
