69 H/O Intake/Heads
Listed on Ebay, does the price seem rather high? Anyone know the history of the "original running and driving" car these were removed from?

Oh, I missed that. It comes with W/Z manifolds and a '251 carb? Well, THAT explains it. Does it also come with a car-shaped shipping container for that price?

yikes, That is a crazy amount but he/she can ask what they want. Maybe it is hey, its my car I know the parts are more valuable on it but for the right price I'm willing to sell it. If the car is still running and usable I hate to see original parts separated.

With an asking price of 25k for those parts, they highly overvalue their car. Not sure why they wouldn't think to sell it complete, buy a 69 Cutlass and then paint it like an H/O and pocket cash. Resto-mod? Sad. What a shame to separate a sweet car.

Amazing how prices change based on supply/demand. I sold my extra 69 H/O intake to another H/COA member for $400 about 20 years ago and an extra set of D heads I had JUST got refurbished for around $600. That's about $1500 total in today's dollars. They were tough to find then, although not impossible. But still.
Kinda wish I'd have kept them. For spares.

Whats up doc ?
Site is being screwy Louie today so I'm message you through this thread
I have located a '973 dist.
and would like your opinion , it comes from a source that is long known to me & enjoys an impeccable reputation and of course the last two digits are all cattywampus and there's an imperfection in the casting at that location which may be related to that
I would also like to view yours again as I cannot find the photo thanks
& if Guy has two cents...will double your $
Thanks fellers

Something looks wrong with those last two numbers. They're usually not that far out of line. Me thinks there could be something fishy. Have to look at the one I got out in the shop.
1111973 uses the 427 - 16 vacuum canister. You know, the one EVERYONE seems to be searching for?
Did you look at the weights? They should be the fat ones for Corvettes and some OAI applications, p/n 1965843.
Edit: Closer inspections appears the "7" looks like it's either a tad too large or a tad too deep, and the bottom tail of that 7 looks a bit fatter than typical. Like the font is off just a hair. I don't know. The dated code of May 9, 69 seems a bit late in the game, but it is still within range. Just some after thoughts on this.
