Fan shroud and engine Decal

Hey guys,

I have a 1979 Hurst Olds and I need to replace the damaged fan shroud. I am not having any luck locating a replacement and was curious what other types will interchange.

I am also looking for what would be the correct decal code for the emission decal that goes on the fan shroud. I have OH and SP. Both show Olds 350 5.7 liter, but different timing (one is 18 and one is 20) Any idea which label is correct.

I know of an H/O in a closed junk yard close by.
Cant remember if the shroud is still there, but will swing by in the next few and check.
Possible he has another V8 Cutlass.

AFAIK, the 79 H/O had 2.73 gears except for california, that came with 2.56 gears. That SP emissions label is for 350R engines in cars equipped with GU1, aka 2.41 gears. 1979 A-body 350R did not have that gear ratio. Thus, the OH should be correct. The 79 H/O experts should be able to chime in here.

OH emission label part number would be 22501778.

Correct. Cowl tag should show if equipped with California emissions. If that is the case, mine is a California car with original sticker.
Will grab a pic and post later.

Is the California emissions label version an "SR" code or still an OH code? I'm showing part number 22500538 as the 79 California Hurst/Olds label part number.

It appears my car was sold in IL. So the CA or High Altitude shouldn't apply. When I get a replacement shroud I'll use the OH label. Unless anybody disagrees.
