Question Replacement door pins and bushings

Hello all,
I am all ready to replace the door hinge pins on my '73 Delta 88 with a pin and bushing kit from the parts store, but as I stand looking at the door with the kit in my hand I am having a few questions:
1. how do I get the old pins out? they have a clip on holding them in place that looks to be part of the pin.
2. How do I get the new bushings on? I can't see any bushings on the old pins. Am I just not seeing the old bushings, or am I going to have to drill out or reem out the old pin hole to accomodate the new bushings?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I looked in the shop manual, but it doesn't give any real insight, so I was hoping to get some help and possibly a step by step proceedure for fixing my sagging doors.

Thank you all in advance,
Chris

All you should have to do is remove the clips holding the pins in the hinges. Then knock out the pins with a small hammer while a buddy holds the door. After the door is removed you should be able to insert the bushings into the hinge without any trouble. Assemble in reverse order.

hinge pin replacement

Chris,

Here's a link to a site that might be helpful. They detail how to replace the hinge pins in a 70 Chevelle.

Best of luck,
