Talking Welcome to CO

You are doing a great job so far. You must be fabricating most of your own body panels. Takes a lot of talent to get them right. We have a number of European members on the site. You English is fine better then some how were born here.

Welcome, never worry about your english, you speak (and type) one more language then most of us. Looks like you have a good start on your restoration. Post more pictures as you progress.

Welcome to the site! A 4 door hardtop is not the most common car to restore so I'm glad that your saving it! I do have some trim and interior parts from one that I got years ago. If you can't find a part at one of the companies that reproduces parts create a thread in the "parts wanted" section and some of the members here may be able to help with good used parts.

Another site with lots of parts that will fit your car is www.rockauto.com

Welcome to the site. I have a soft spot for 4 doors - my first car was a `72 Cutlass with a vinyl roof. Loved the car and have been looking for another.

Keep us posted on your progress!!

I'm curious as to the Ca connection as well, that series plate if memory serves me right would put it around 2005 or so since it was here. I think the reg tab is also from 2005 since our tab colors rotate every 5 years and 2010 is yellow..........

Welcome!
Don't worry about your English. It's better than that of many Americans I know!
Great to see a 4-door restoration.
Unfortunately, it is not economically feasible to restore a 4-door here in most cases.
Your friend is very fortunate to have your skills available to restore the car.
Keep up the great work.

Does the windscreen from oldmobile1977 suit to Oldsmobile Cutlass 1971. I haven't got the windscreen, and the price of it from the USa is too expensive.IF someone has got the windscreen of Oldsmobile Cutlass 1971 and the right front panel ( mudguard), please contact with me privacy information

I believe the windscreen is called a windshield here in the U.S., the front glass over the dash. If that is what your needing then no, the 1977 will not interchange with your car. You need to find one that will fit a 1968 to 1972 four door car, station wagon or Vista Cruiser wagon. The good news is that you can also get one from a Chevy Chevelle, Buick Skylark, or Pontiac LeMans in either the four door or wagon models. The 2 door model glass is very close in shape, but it's different enough that it won't fit. If you cannot find it new at a reasonable cost, post a parts wanted thread and hopefully someone on the East Coast will have a used one and be willing to package it well enough to ship it overseas.

I'm not sure what part your describing as the mud guard, would you provide more details or a photograph of the one on the left side? John

Welcome -Now we have 2 Holiday Sedans on the Site

I just finished (if you can ever really be finished) with my 72 Cutlas Supreme Holiday Sedan and have just started enjoying the fruits of my labor. I have got some really nice comments for people who see it but most have never seen another one. Good luck on your restoration and if I can help in any way please let me know. I will post some pic's soon. I just haven't had time to get back on the site and share. Now that it gets dark early maybe I can do that. Again Welcome!

Richard

P.S. My grandfather an grandmother came from Warsaw.

Nice work on the restoration. I have a 1971 cutlass 4-door myself. It is rare to see a 4-door cutlass on the road today.
