Repop tower style hose clamps...
I bought a set of these for my '72 Supreme but have heard (and read) the various horror stories about them and what a PITA they are to use.
I like the look of them but will not sacrifice functionality for aesthetics.
Can anyone help me out with some advice on how I can avoid getting kicked in the butt by these if I use them? I did a search here on CO but couldn't find anything...

I've used them through the years in certain applications without any problems. But there are some things that should be observed. First use a clamp that is quality made. I've seen some from Asia that were not top quality. Then always work within the range of the clamp. Sometimes the bolt may need some lubricant. Sometime during tightening, it may be beneficial to hold (with a tool) the part with the square nut so it doesn't distort. My biggest problem was something "snagging" on the top of the bolt after it was installed.

Used Fusick ones on my current '72 Supreme (350), my old '72 Supreme (455/M20) and my '72 442 (455). I think we had an issue with maybe two of them out of a couple dozen where the screw angle went cattywampus so we trashed those and grabbed another one. They look great installed.
