Still In Progress
But my '69 is getting there....got it back today after gutting the wiring and having a new harness(es) installed. No....I know my limitations and I no longer have the flexibility or patience to lay on my back under the dash for hours on end. 1st pic is 3 years ago....I spent well over a year stripping and sanding. I'd driven it fairly often since paint 2 years ago, but had a minor engine harness burnout that wrecked some wiring about 6 months ago. Got it back today. I have the original color matching wheels. Still have some interior work to do, but I'm happy if I never get much further along with the amateur restoration. It's NOM 455 from '72 with a 3 speed toploader, BTW. Beastly torque....I never have tried to figure out what gearing it is, but it's not posi and thus it's hard to keep it from barking.

Love it! I like the stealth Gold painted 455! I also really like the Red/White combo - Very Cool! Thanks for sharing. I hope an anti-spin rear end is in your car's future! I think it amazing that Olds even allowed 4-4-2s out the door without it. My '68 was a peg-leg from the factory like yours. I upgraded to anti-spin while it was up on jack-stands for the mechanical refresh. I'm REALLY glad I did it.
