Hello from Birmingham, Alabama
Hello to everyone!
I just purchased a 1970 442 convertible and I want to say thank you to everyone on this site. It was information from this site that help me along in the decision making process.
The car I bought is an excellent example of a 1970 442 with minimum rust. It should be an easy fixer upper. I plan on driving it when the weather permits and tackling the rebuild in easy to accomplish sections. The first three task are replacing the rear springs and shocks, replacing the sending unit on the gas tank, and replacing the dual exhaust. I am already reading member threads concerning the exhaust and rear suspension. These threads are guiding me along in both the decisions to be made on what parts to use as well as how best to go about the repairs.
Again, Thanks!
