My 1st Post
My name is Jim; I'm from northwest Indiana. I'm 34 and just got married in June. My first Olds was a 1978 88 which started it all. I wrecked that car and got a 82 Buick Regal that me and my dad swaped in the Olds 350. It had 220k on it before it gave up. Then I bought a 1970 Cutlass and hopped it up until it got hit on the side of the road. It turned out to be a blessing in desquise because it lead me to my current as of 12 years 1969 442.
When I bought it i got 3 455s , 2 th400s and 1 muncie 4 speed.
I had plans on restoring the car but the original 400 and 4 speed were long gone. I drove the car for 3 years as my only transportation with the 350 combo from the 70 in it until I was able to by a work beater.
In 2000 I put new quarters and wheel houses on it , patched the front fenders, installed a repo w-25 hood and redid the entire interior/car.
2001-2002 In went the 455!!!
It runs mid 11s @ 116 and still looks stock until the hood is opened!
Glad to be part of this site. I'd eventually like to find a 64 f85 and a 55 88.

Welcome to CO Jim. Definitely sounds like a good score on the '69. There's quite a few '69 owners on here, so they'll definitely chime in.
Post some pics of your car if you can. People like pictures!
And perhaps this is the '64 F-85 you're looking for?

Jim-
I've found the best way to include pics in your post is to go to www.photobucket.com and open an account (it's free). You then upload your pictures. Once they're uploaded, you copy the html code for the image. Then paste it into the text box here on the site. The picture will then show up in your post. Just make sure they're not too huge.
Or, if you want to post here directly, here's the instructions:
When you reply make sure you are in “Advanced” If it says post a “Quick reply” hit “Advanced”
Scroll down below the box you type in and hit “ Manage Attachments” A new box will pop up.
Hit “Browse”
Then hit “Upload” and wait a few secs for the pics to up load. Then close this box.
Next you can hit “Preview Post and your pictures should be there.
There is a size limit on pics

Hey, they're all great cars!
Jamesbo,do you detect just a hint of sarcasm in the above quote? I suggest, for the mental health and well-being of our illustrious leader, that we post-haste launch a recruitment campaign in which we BEG ownners of '57 and '48 Oldsmobiles to join our "merry band" of afficianados so that Citcapp will have some of "his kind" to communicate with, and not be so bitter about our site's rising tide of 69ers!!
