Newer 442 owner
Hey everyone. After decades have finally run across a numbers matching '69 442 and bought it. My first car at 16 was a 71 cutlass supreme and have owned 4 other late 60's/early 70's Cutlass' since then. Always dreaming of a 442 but never financially able to own one until now. Brings back tons of memories and very excited to finally have the real thing. Numbers matching with all original drivetrain. Upholstery and exterior paint are only non original parts on the car that I can tell. Interior done tastefully in original pattern but in velour instead of black vinyl, much cooler on summer days.
Car still has original A/C and works, but issue with vacuum switch that controls directing airflow to A/C vents, defroster vents or heater. Anyone have a clue where I can find the vacuum valve where all the vacuum lines connect to so I can fix this problem? It is a small round "hockey puck" that directs the vacuum to proper valves to direct the air appropriately. I can actually see it under the dash ( with some major body aerobics and contortions) but want to make sure I have a replacement in hand before removing it. Thanks so much.
