"Ruthie Marie" 1972 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Convertible

Hey there,

This last year I inherited "Ruthie Marie" from my late aunt. She had ordered her from the factory and it was to be her last convertible. She had a love affair with the Oldsmobile convertibles most of her adult life and now I share in that passion.

My aunt was also a hoarder and so as a result I have every piece of paper that may have had anything to do with the car and notes she wrote about the car prior to making her order and final purchase. I have all the original paperwork and the congratulatory letters written by the company and dealership she dealt with. It has been a real joy to to have all of that documentation and personal mementos to go along with the car.

She runs like a top and for the most part is in very good condition for a "daily driver" that was didiligently cared for all of her life. She goes in for a new top this next week along with a tune-up and tires. She still has tires on her from the 1970's!

I can't wait to get her back on the road!

Everytime I pull her out on the road I can't help but smile. I just love driving her!

That'a quite a barge!

Be sure that the top installer s familiar with the scissor tops - they are installed differently than the normal kind.

Welcome to Classic Olds!

Welcome to CO, Brian Ernest Brown! Love the story of your Ruthie Marie, with all the documentation. Agreed, your Aunt must have been quite the Lady. More pictures when you have a chance.
