Thought I would move the post to a more relevent area since no one replied at the other place I posted.

Just wondering can anyone steer me in the right direction to locate the specification for my engine. The engine number does not seem to match up with some sites I have researched. Also where to decipher the casting number, production plant etc.

you should try and get the 59 factory manual...it will tell you a lot... its great to have.

What numbers are you looking at? Cylinder head - intake manifold- engine block? Post some numbers and I'll tell you what I find. I have a lot of book numbers for the 394
