need radiator advise/help
I have a 1966 olds 98 with factory AC auto and no oil cooler and i am having issues finding a radiator that fits
i had mine reconditioned about 2 years ago and its started leaking again
does anyone have a part number for one that fits either original or aftermarket aluminum?
mine has one end tank bigger than the other its like 3 inch on one side and 3 1/2 on the other
thanks

What do you mean by reconditioned? Was it re-cored? That would be the way to go if no replacement is found. You should be able to find a radiator though. Take measurements and look at the A body stuff on line, they usually give measurements. Then see if you have a 3 row or 4 row core.

I had a new US made core put into my 1969 Cadillac radiator last year, and it cost me $600 at the radiator shop. It was worth it to me, and the quality of the work was excellent. A few years before, I had a radiator repaired by another radiator shop, and it was a few hundred, but the quality of the work wasn't that good, and it failed the following year. Good shops that know what they are doing are getting harder to find, but there are still some very good ones. The one that I am now using does mostly large truck radiators that are extremely expensive and heavy. Quality work is expensive.

This is the problem. Here in the DC Metro area, several good radiator shops have closed down in the last few years. There are only two within an easy drive of me, Winchester VA and Hagerstown MD.

Look at the specs on this and see if it would work.

Hi thanks for the input
This Rad is a 3 core and one end tank is 3 1/2 and the other is 2 3/4 where it sits in to the pads.
i had it cleaned and rebuilt since i could not find one but this did not hold up.
i went to Autozone and they pulled A302 and A165 and both of the tanks were the same size.
but the pic for the A302 looks like a all copper rad and with offset tanks so there pics are wrong.
i did find this on summit SUM-382024 $318 but i dont know what size the tanks are.
if worse comes to worse i could cut and shorten that 3 1/2 inch pad
and make the A302 fit
it has a life time warranty but i dont want to be swapping it out every few
years.
has any one had good luck running these plastic and aluminum ones?
thanks
