Whats a 1970 olds 98 worth

A friend of mine has a 98000 mile 455 98 he is thinking about selling. His uncle bought it new, had it shrink wrapped in the early 1980s, an my buddy got it about 5 years ago. Its a 4 door green on green, near mint condition. Whats it worth??? 3K- 5K-7K? No pics at this time. Everything works.

Hi Jim,

According to NADA classic 7k-11k Depending on body style i.e. town sedan or hard top.

The old rule is it's only worth what someone will pay for it.

Regards, Pat

The February 2012 issue of the Old Cars Price Guide lists values for the various '70 98 four-doors in #3 condition ("car show" but "showroom") in the low $5,000s. A two-door in this condition is listed at about $7,500 while a convertible is worth about $9,000.

That's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure he doesn't undersell it.

Can you advise what the main differences would be between #1, # 2 and #3 on a 1970 98 vert?
